A SERIES OF EVENTS ON CURRENT QUESTIONS IN THEATRE TRANSLATIONS<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

With funding from the Deutscher \u00dcbersetzerfonds<\/a><\/strong> and the programme Neustart Kultur<\/a><\/strong> we\u2019ll be launching the series of events panorama #1 \u00fcbertheater<\/strong>\u00fcbersetzen in the coming months. There will be a total of seven events around specific topics from April to November (including a few additional events), which will explore the diversity of translators\u2019 activities in the theatre, the specifics of each of these and their far-reaching effect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The specific topics are:
++ Translation as a practice of decolonisation ++ Queer in translation ++ New Spanish-language theatre ++ Multilingualism in the theatre ++ Literary translation versus surtitles ++ Translation funding for theatre ++ Accessibility in theatre ++ <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each event will consist of workshops for theatre and translation professionals, public podium discussions and readings for interested members of the public.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
