X. \u0160alda Theatre in Liberec, where he played more than 30 roles. He is the main author and actor of the F. X. Kalba Theatre, which was originally founded as a &#8220;punk offshoot&#8221; of the F. X. \u0160alda Theatre, but later became independent and merged with the Palmovka Theatre. As a playwright, he took part in the productions <em>Zvrhl\u00e1 Margaret<\/em> or <em>House of Love 2: N\u00e1vrat hezk\u00fdch hoch\u016f<\/em> at the A studio Rub\u00edn Theatre. For the F. X. \u0160alda Theatre in Liberec he wrote <em>Googling and Fucking<\/em>, <em>Mickey Mouse je mrtv\u00fd<\/em> (eng: Mickey Mouse is Dead), <em>LSDown<\/em>, <em>Logo<\/em>, <em>Diani\u0161ka je B\u016fh<\/em> (eng: <em>Diani\u0161ka is God<\/em>) and <em>Atomov\u00e1 ko\u010di\u010dka<\/em> (eng: <em>Atom Cat<\/em>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He has been a member of the Divadlo pod Palmovkou (Theatre under Palmovka) ensemble since September 2014. He has performed several plays at the PALM OFF studio stage: <em>1000 v\u011bc\u00ed, co m\u011b serou<\/em> (<em>1000 Things I Think Suck<\/em>; theatre adaptation of the blog of the same name), <em>Ml\u010den\u00ed bob\u0159\u00edk\u016f<\/em> (Eng. <em>The Silence of the Beavers<\/em>), <em>Jak sbalit \u017eenu 2.0 <\/em>(Eng: <em>How to Pick Up a Woman 2.0<\/em>, a theatre adaptation of the book of the same name by T. Bar\u00e1nek), <em>Pus\u0165te Donnu k maturit\u011b!<\/em>, <em>Posledn\u00ed d\u016fvod, pro\u010d se nezab\u00edt<\/em> (Eng. <em>The Last Reason Not to Kill Yourself<\/em>; theatre adaptation of the blog of the same name) and <em>Bezruk\u00fd Frant\u00edk<\/em> (Eng. <em>The Armless Frant\u00edk<\/em>, written with I. Orozovich; transferred to the big stage of the theatre at Palmovka due to great audience interest), <em>294 state\u010dn\u00fdch<\/em> (Eng. <em>294 Brave Ones<\/em>) and <em>Encyklopedie ak\u010dn\u00edho filmu<\/em> (Eng. <em>Encyclopaedia of Action Film<\/em>), both already conceived for the big stage. Tom\u00e1\u0161 Diani\u0161ka also acts in all these productions and directs many of them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to his home theatre Divadlo pod Palmovkou, Tom\u00e1\u0161 Diani\u0161ka works as a writer and actor with several Prague theatres, including MeetFactory, Divadlo LET\u00cd, A Studio Rub\u00edn, Masopust Theatre Group, Chemick\u00e9 divadlo (Eng: Chemical Theatre), Divadlo X10 and others. He has worked as a director at the Chamber Theatre Ar\u00e9na Ostrava (V. Klim\u00e1\u010dek: <em>Comics<\/em>) and at the Petr Bezru\u010d Theatre in Ostrava &#8211; here he staged his plays <em>Spottschau<\/em> (Engl. <em>Transky, body, vte\u0159iny<\/em>) and <em>\u0160pinarka<\/em> (Engl.<em> \u0160pinarov\u00e1<\/em>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He describes his plays as pop pieces that examine well-known cultural phenomena in a satirical way. In his original, eclectic style, he mixes different genres, incorporating dime novels, westerns or comic heroes alongside documentary material. He has received a number of important prizes for his plays. His production of his own play <em>Transky, body, vte\u0159iny<\/em> at the Petr Bezru\u010d Theatre in Ostrava was named best production of the year and best Czech play of the year at the 2019 Czech Theatre Critics&#8217; Awards. After graduating from high school, she studied theatre at the Faculty of Philosophy at Charles University in Prague for two years before starting to study directing at the Jan\u00e1\u010dek Academy of Performing Arts in Brno. With her monodrama <em>Tohle nen\u00ed va\u0161e Karenina<\/em> (Eng: <em>This is not your Karenina<\/em>) she won first place at the European Youth Theatre Festival in Spoleto, Italy. During her bachelor&#8217;s degree, she won the competition for the best original short play under the title <em>Havelscher Einakter<\/em> (Eng. <em>Havel One-Act<\/em>) with her text <em>Reg\u00e1ly<\/em> (Eng. <em>Shelves<\/em>) and also the Ewald Schorm Prize in the same year. Before graduating with a Bachelor&#8217;s degree, she collaborated on the text <em>Hrdinky<\/em> (Eng: <em>Heroines<\/em>) for a performance of the same name by the Husa na prov\u00e1zku Theatre in Brno. In 2019 she founded her first theatre group Bezty\u00e1tr, with which she staged her play <em>Kolaborant<\/em> (Engl. <em>Collaborator<\/em>). She currently leads the theatre group Karapax in Hradec Kr\u00e1lov\u00e9, with which she is mainly involved in outdoor theatre forms, and is studying theatre dramaturgy at the Jan\u00e1\u010dek Academy of Music and Performing Arts in Brno. In 2023 she came second in a theatre competition organised by the V\u00e1clav Havel Library Foundation with her play <em>O vedlej\u0161\u00edch postav\u00e1ch<\/em> (Eng: <em>On the Secondary Characters<\/em>). Over 100 productions at state, city and independent theaters, then increasingly internationally in Switzerland, Luxembourg, South Korea, North Macedonia, USA. Especially in Russia, numerous productions took place in St. Petersburg, but also in Velikiy Novgorod, Perm, Moscow and Voronezh. For ten years he has been teaching at state and private drama schools, currently at the University of Arts Berlin (UdK), the University of Potsdam, Theaterakademie Sachsen\/Delitzsch and HKB Braunschweig\/Hannover, also in St. Petersburg, Ankara, Pomona and Las Vegas (USA) as well as in Linz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size\"><em>Foto: Elmar Engels<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text has-media-on-the-right is-stacked-on-mobile\"><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<p><strong>Danila Korogodsky<\/strong> graduated from Leningrad Theater Academy in 1977 as a stage and costume designer. After graduation worked as a resident designer at the Leningrad TYS (Theater for Young Spectators) and for theaters around the country designing more then 80 productions for various companies. In 1989 he was invited to design a show at Honolulu Theater for Youth. Since then he worked in United States as a stage designer and design professor. He designed more then 300 productions in USA and around the world. Since 1996 till 2019 he taught set design at California State University, Long Beach, and, as a guest, at California Institute of the Arts in Valencia, CA. In 2005 he became an Artistic Director of Theater Pokoleniy in St. Petersburg, Russia. He has designed and directed more then 30 projects with his company until February 2022.
