He has received numerous awards in the Czech Republic and internationally for his productions and plays. For example: first place three times in a row (2020-22) in the renowned drama competition, the Ewald Schorm Prize; in 2023, he was awarded second place with <em>Vyhubyt<\/em>, which he directed in the same year at Studio Beseda in Hradec Kr\u00e1lov\u00e9; the radio play version of his play <em>Sleduj!<\/em> (<em>Follow!<\/em>) about YouTubers and influencers won the student prize and third place in the drama category at the Prix Bohemia Radio 2023 radio play festival. Also in 2023, he was named Talent of the Year 2023 at the Czech Theatre Critics&#8217; Awards. In 2025, the German-speaking commission of Eurodram selected this play for presentation at the playwrights&#8217; festival in Graz and at the festival St\u00fcck f\u00fcr St\u00fcck in Mannheim. Drama Panorama presented his award-winning play <em>Sorex<\/em> in the translation by Maira Neubert for the first time at the New Translations of International Drama Festival in 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Photo: Patrik Boreck\u00fd<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text has-media-on-the-right is-stacked-on-mobile\"><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<p><strong>Hana D. Lehe\u010dkov\u00e1<\/strong> (*1990) is a Czech literary editor, writer and playwright. She studied theory and criticism at the Theatre Academy of Performing Arts (DAMU) in Prague. She made her debut as a playwright in 2012, when she won the \u0160vandovo Divadlo Drama Competition, which subsequently staged her play <em>V(\u00fd)chod<\/em>. She has written radio plays such as <em>Johana a tov\u00e1rna na sny<\/em> (Engl. <em>Johana and the Dream Factory)<\/em> and <em>Co se stalo se Zuzanou <\/em>(Engl. <em>What Happened to Susanne<\/em>), among others. For her experimental novel <em>Svat\u00e1 hlava<\/em> (2019, published in German as <em>Das heilige Haupt<\/em>, translation Hana Hadas, Homunculus Verlag, 2022), she received the Ji\u0159\u00ed Orten Prize in 2020, a prestigious Czech prize for young authors under 30. She also received attention for her autobiographical novel <em>Poup\u00e1tka<\/em> (Engl. <em>Buddings<\/em>, 2021), which deals with child abuse in a theatre group. Lehe\u010dkov\u00e1 also writes children&#8217;s books and works as a playwright with many independent theatres in the Czech Republic. He is artistic director of the Mal\u00e9 Divadlo (Little Theatre) in South Bohemia and dramaturge of the independent Divadlo Let\u00ed (Let\u00ed Theatre) in Prague. As a dramaturge, he has also worked with the \u0160vandovo Divadlo (\u0160vanda Theatre), the Divadlo Petra Bezru\u010de (Petr Bezru\u010de Theatre) and the drama and opera department of the Jiho\u010desk\u00e9 Divadlo (South Bohemian Theatre).
