Her play &quot;<span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Caryca Katarzyn&quot; (<\/span>Tsarina Catarina) is nominated for the most highly esteemed playwrights award in Poland. When her play &quot;<span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Joanny Szalonej; Kr&oacute;lowej&quot;<\/span> (Joan the Mad, Queen) will be presented at the MIME CENTRUM&#039;s &quot;Theatersalon&quot;, it will be the first time that one of her plays is introduced in German translation.<\/p>\n<p>Andreas Volk is a translator of contemporary Polish literature, including more than twenty plays. He was part of the team Literatur polska2000 in Krakow, held a scholarship of Villa Decius, and coordinated the &quot;literary studies&quot; project at Collegium Polonicum in S?ubice in 2009-2011. He is an editor of the German-Polish-Ukrainian &quot;radar&quot; literary magazine, which is published in Krakow; in addition, he is a co-founder of the German-Polish translation almanac &bdquo;Oder&Uuml;bersetzen&ldquo;.
