Go!
A winter sun in the cloudless sky changes the view of the dirt, litter left lying around, the dog shit, packaging garbage, illegally attached and therefore again halfway removed posters on electricity boxes. This whole imperfection and also the comfort from stellar conditions prepares me in the middle of GERMANY a surprisingly GDR-like life feeling of the powerlessness opposite the contradictions of my imperfect life world.
The walk to Kaiser’s is lined with encounters with working people: a man stands ear-deep under the asphalt of the sidewalk and measures something, his colleague across the street also measures with a radio measuring device. A janitor in blue overalls greets me on Heidelberger, unusual for Berlin. A man gets out of the company car of a sanitary company and walks around the corner, bread roll bag in hand. The cold clear morning freshens the screen-work- and generally urban-winter-induced melancholy out of me, pumps in oxygen energy, strengthens the blood circulation of the epidermis. Joy comes to the occupation of the coming hours with funding applications for good ideas, joy about this cultural policy, which makes it possible for me to apply for money for valuable activities for the improvement of the world. The latter term comes from Datenstrudel, I alienate its ironized universalism, which meant satirical everyday changes, and fill in: for enjoyment through knowledge, against stupidity and dullness.
