Arbus
Diane Arbus died much earlier than I thought, 23-71, so she was only 48. Wikipedia informs, that she was suffering from hepatitis-induced depressions during her last years and took her own life cutting her wrists in 1971. With her images of peripheral figures (showpeople, midgets/giants, transvestites, handicapped) next to pictures of passersby and people in parks, she challenges the boundaries of normality and society’s esthetics without prejudice” (German Wikipedia). I agree.
At the museum shop, great idea for a photo gallery: wire cable, hook, weight, magnets. Built my own at home right away.
