A Happy Ending
My German translation of Iddo Netanyahu’s play “A Happy End” is now available.
Berlin 1932. While the power of the nazis and their repressions grow stronger every day, a Jewish nuclear scientist is deaf to the warnings of his assistant to leave the country as long as there’s still time. Meanwhile, that assistant has an affair with his boss’s wife. The scientist ignores the imminent danger for a long time, only taking it serious when he loses his university job in 1933.
The play just premiered successfully in Denver, Colorado, and was read at the Tashkent theatre festival.
Dramaturgs and lectors, theaters and agencies: I’d be happy about your interest. The translation is available with me.
