Verbranntes Land (Salty Irina) in New Productions
Two premieres will be celebrated today, 26 Sept 2026, of Eve Leigh’s Verbranntes Land, (orig. Salty Irina) which won the Nestroy Award last year with a production of the Schauspielhaus Vienna. One will be at the Theaterhaus G7 in Mannheim, dir. Pascal Wieandt, the other one at Theater Konstanz, dir. Rebecca Bangerter. Both are fans of the playwright and directed productions of other texts by Leigh: Bangerter did Midnight Movie at Anhaltisches Theater Dessau, Wieandt Flächenbrand at Theaterhaus G7 Mannheim. The Schauspielhaus in Vienna prepares the next production of a new play by Eve Leigh: Luftmenschen.
