Lecture: The Theatre Text is Delivered – Now What? Translating for the Production

Translations for performative purposes pass several stages until their realisation. Who reads them, and why? How are they further processed? How does the translator communicate her translations? What position is the translator in the production process?
In this lecture during my seminar RAISE YOUR VOICE! at the Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf, I address actual working conditions for the translatory work in theatre, illustrated by some current examples.
