FLÄCHENBRAND (WILDFIRE ROAD) by Eve Leigh

After the German translation of Eve Leigh’s MIDNIGHT MOVIE had been presented in staged reading by Verena Regensburger at the Stückemarkt of the Berlin Theatertreffen 2021, the Rowohlt Theaterverlag now licenced the playwright’s text WILDFIRE ROAD, which I translated.

A plane is being hijacked. While the crew negotiates with the hi-jacker, the world is on fire below. Only the hi-jacker can save the passengers. In fact, that’s what she came for.

The German premiere took place on 10 September 2022 at Junges Theater Bonn. The text is looking forward to see more visionary productions.
