A totally dysfunctional family. And Ophelia has so much on her plate right now: grieving, growing up. A psychoanalytical horror story. Maybe it would be better to just get rid of this family. But what then? Ophi has questions, but there’s nothing but silence at home. The only thing that drowns out this silence is the beat from ELSE I snore, the best club in Denmark. This is where DJ Ophi plays her last set. What’s the right BPM for sadness? Who will be at her side to the very end? Ophelia only for fans! Parental advisory: explicit content.

The reading will be followed by an audience discussion with the author and his translator Maira Neubert, and an afterparty with DJ Liarosa. DJ Liarosa aka Rosalie Malinská is a member of the Prague electropop band Viah. She also played the lead role of Ophelia in the world premiere of Ophelia OnlyFans in Prague, directed by playwright Tomáš Ráliš.

The festival Ein Stück: Tschechien, organised by Drama Panorama e. V., is a platform for contemporary Czech theatre in Germany that has been taking place in Berlin since 2014. It presents current Czech productions as guest performances and staged readings of plays by contemporary Czech playwrights that have been translated into German for the first time for the festival and are therefore being presented for the first time in German in these readings. Many of the plays translated for the festival have been published in book form as part of the Drama Panorama series published by Neofelis Verlag.
