Eurodram: German language selection 2017



The German language committee announces the following selection which is strongly impacted by plays from Southeast Europe.

Alexander Manuiloff:
DER STAAT

Ivor Martinić:
DRAMA ÜBER MIRJANA UND DIE MENSCHEN UM SIE HERUM
(„A drama about Mirjana and the people who surround her“)

Simona Semenič:
SIEBEN KÖCHINNEN, VIER SOLDATEN UND DREI SOPHIEN
(„Seven cooks, four soldiers, and three Sophies“)
(Translated from the Slovenian by Urška Brodar)

The three texts chosen will be part of our staged readings in 2017.

One of the translators will receive a grant to translate another play from the language in question, preferably a play chosen by the Eurodram committee of the language in question.
